Holbein Duo Watersoluble Oil Colors – 40mL tubes – Artist quality pigment in a watersoluble linseed oil with all the handling characteristics of traditional oil paint. A true professional grade artist color that is compatible with both oil color and mediums as well as all water media. Duo Color is a uniform non-sticky, high chroma and highly versatile oil color offering computer controlled permanency and predictable consistency that will produce unique and desired results for the Oil, Acrylic or Watercolor artists. Duo is a genuine oil color used, when desired, with brush and knife in the same way and on the same grounds as traditional oil color. Artists can use the same painting and finishing techniques of traditional oils without the toxicity of unnecessary solvents. Duo has the pleasant studio odor of linseed oil but cleans up with water! Duo may be blended up to 30% with traditional oil colors or mediums without affecting its water solubility. duo can be blended with watercolors, gouache or acrylics and will dry faster, however finished paintings should not be varnished for 6 to 8 months just like traditional oil colors. The possibilities for special techniques and effects using Duo are limited only by the imagination.
